Tribute to Robert Rutherford, 1951 - 2024

A lovely man who was kind and fun and will leave a big hole in a lot of lives. Sorry to see you leave so soon Bob. Thinking of you will always make me smile.

Bob lived on our street here in St. John’s for over twenty years while we were all raising our children. The children went to school together and with Bob around there was always fun for people of all ages. He was an excellent neighbour and friend with an amazing circle of friends here in the city. We will all miss him dearly.

A colleague, a friend and gentleman with a big heart. Enjoyed the many years we worked together and the fun social gatherings with a pint or two. Sincere condolences to Bob’s family.

We have lost a wonderful man, who had both a great sense of humour and tremendous enthusiasm.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
